Hitler Suicide[edit]

The Hitler reference is clearly visible in the cartoon. Is a "citation needed" for something that is obviously in the film the article is about?

But how did it get there? All the copy in this newspaper appears to be lifted from regular news of the time. Was there some Hitler suicide hoax in 1942? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.149.71.27 (talk) 04:29, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Much of the newspaper depicted in the cartoon was taken from the Chicago Sunday Tribune edition of Nov. 1, 1942. For example, "10 Short Wave Radio Stations Leased by U.S." and "'Praise Lord' Navy Chaplain Finally Found" appeared in the same positions in the real newspaper as in the cartoon version. But "Adolph Hitler Commits Suicide" did not appear in that newspaper. That was added by the animators. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 06:59, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
