This page blurs the lines between 'international volunteering' and 'volunteer travel', many of the 'controversy' sections only call on one source to support claims which are highly controversial with evidence both for and against. With a successful merge between this and international volunteering, ideally with a sub-section for 'voluntourism' to clearly denote the difference between a skilled doctor giving his time to address ebola and a gap-year student paying to go on a project, these two pages would make a lot more coherent sense. Currently this is a hatchet job on volunteering outside your home country. Mountaincirque 15:46, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
To note, I have significantly restructured this page and redirected to 'international volunteering'. 13:02, 28 October 2015 (UTC)
