Are you sure the name isn't Vysokopolye? That means High Field in Ukrainian.
Pillia or Pillya doesn't seem to mean anything, and Slavic languages don't usually do double consonants.
If someone is trying to derussify place names by changing O to I, well, this might not be the way to do it. Pole or field is still pole, not pile. Poland is still not Piland.
There are 2600 Google hits on Vysokopol'ye Ukraine.

Vysokopolye is Romanization of Russian, Vysokopillia is Romanization of Ukrainian. For generic Ukrainian localities we use Romanization of Ukrainian. Ymblanter (talk) 21:40, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
