Translation?[edit]

Even the typos are the same as in the German Wikipedia. Why does the author not mention that this is a translation? --13Peewit (talk) 09:40, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You're right-- this looks to contain translated material from the Deutsch Wikipedia, so I've added a translated material tag to the talk page.Platinumbuddha (talk) 08:11, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article is remarkably biassed in its account of von Soden's prewar attitudes. This sort of attempted whitewashing has no place in Wikipedia. Von Soden's prewar work was undoubtedly antisemitic, and to describe this in a way that makes it seem like "American detraction" is frankly scandalous. He saw the error of his ways in due course; this by no means shows he was never a Nazi sympathiser in the first place. Benno Landsberger displayed great magnanimity in interceding for him after the war, not least because of von Soden's undoubtedly great contributions to Assyriology. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 159.86.191.17 (talk) 15:39, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
