Detachment of wall paintings[edit]

New article. Long enough. Catchy interesting hook. Interesting article as well. BUT....the reference for the hook is in Latin and i dont understand that. Also the google translator was not helpful. - Driveby helper: The site in the reference won't work for me today, so here is the Latin: "similiter Lanivi, ubi Atalante et Helena comminus pictae sunt nudae ab eodem artifice, utraque excellentissima forma, sed altera ut virgo, ne ruinis quidem templi concussae. Gaius princeps tollere eas conatus est libidine accensus, si tectorii natura permisisset." Appears here (vi. 17-18). And Here's the passage in English. - Have switched the link from the original to a translation on Perseus; re the quotation marks - they might be tricky especially now there's a link to an English version, since the wording does not match, there are enough quotes already, and it is only to be expected that such details are drawn from the passage cited (can swap 'nude' for 'without drapery' if these words seem too close, but then that's pretty close to nudae...), Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 21:44, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
