Welcome to DYK, Paradise Chronicle! Interesting vote, on good sources, and I read German. Please write the hook in a way that Picasso's name appears only one, best by getting the referendum to the front. In the hook, we don't need the day but the year to put it in perspective. We don't need Picass's given name. - In the article, please check for missing commas (after Switzerland, before and after the image names". "was not to the delight" is no encyclopedic language ;) - Please repeat everything from the lead also in the article, such as the paintings' names, and perhaps write Background in chronological order? - Please avoid short sections, best perhaps by fewer sections? Both "developments" and "Aftermath" are not really telling, at least to me. The gallery is at present completely detached from the rest of the article, and it would help connecting if the titles of the paintings were consistent, French, or English, or both, but then consistently both. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:19, 27 April 2021 (UTC)

Thank you for those! (Next time, put new alternatives at the bottom yourself, otherwise the reviewer's response makes little sense. I don't think we need "majority", rather for the city's museum, no? ALT1 is fine as it is.

Gerda Arendt Thank you, too and I agree on that ALT1 is fine as it is. I have adapted the article a bit in order to bring it in a better shape. I removed the section Gallery, but not the Gallery template, then I changed the titles into English language and reworded or exchanged several phrases. As to me, the new title is fine, more detailed and also according to the Wikipedia order with the date at the beginning. But I would prefer to use "Picasso paintings purchase referendum of/in Basel" for the hook if possible.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 04:58, 28 April 2021 (UTC)

Now I woke up again, and check my watchlist. The new title is 1967 Basel Picasso paintings purchase referendum. We can keep the hooks as they are (done), but need to fix the other links, - call the priceless Mandarax. Please don't move the nomination. The idea is good. How about turning it around, and I don't think we need the names of the paintings, - Picasso alone looks more important than the unlinked titles. Something like this?
