This is a template to generate links to entries for individual pinball titles at the Internet Pinball Database]. It should only be used in the "external links" section of an article.
Usage[edit]
The required parameter is the ID number. The template then uses the article title as the anchor text:
* {{IPDB | ID }}
* {{IPDB | 2 = ID }}
To have the link text be other than the article name, use second parameter:
* {{IPDB | ID | Name }}
* {{IPDB | id = ID | title = Title }}
Instructions[edit]
- Go to www
.ipdb .org and find the link for the appropriate game - Follow the link to go to the game's page.
- The URL will look like this:
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=<!-- ID -->. Copy the part of the url which is substituted here with <!-- ID -->. This will be the first parameter (orid=). - Add the game's name in the next parameter (or
name=) if it is different from the page name. - Add one of the following to the external links section of the article:
- * {{IPDB | id= <<!-- ID --> }}
- * {{IPDB | <!-- ID --> }}
- * {{IPDB | id= <!-- ID --> | title= <!-- title --> }}
- * {{IPDB | <!-- ID --> | <!-- title --> }}
