About me

I am a paid employee of the United States National Agricultural Library (NAL), The National Agricultural Library is one of five national libraries of the United States and houses one of the world's largest collections devoted to agriculture and its related sciences. We are working to make our holdings, publications, and other resources more accessible to the public by engaging directly with Wikipedia.

I live in Beltsville and I love agriculture.

Conflict of interest statement

When I am editing Wikipedia as part of my official professional duties, I always strive to strictly abide by Wikipedia's accepted practices on conflicts of interest, neutrality, and notability. Because the National Archives' educational mission is in line with Wikipedia's mission to disseminate knowledge freely, I will not make edits that I do not believe are in accordance with Wikipedia's practices and procedures. Therefore, I will not make substantive edits to articles related to NAL as an agency (e.g. United States National Agricultural Library), or its personnel. Instead, if I edit articles, they will be to contribute subject matter expertise, for example to improve articles about NAL holdings (e.g. Pomological Watercolor Collection, Smokey Bear).

If you believe I have made an error or violated Wikipedia’s norms, please do not hesitate to contact me. My email is also listed on this page in case I am not regularly checking my talk page. You may also contact User:Jamie-NAL, who is a Wikipedian and the project leader for the National Agricultural Library's presence on Wikipedia, with any concerns.
