Really?[edit]

Has anyone seen this template used by a non-canvased non-disruptive new user? IE, any new user that wasn't one that just showed up in an ongoing and public spat taking extreme positions, or just your everday "this is my band/newspaper/club" spammer? Has it ever been used by someone with longevity? Template created over 2 years ago. Hipocrite (talk) 16:27, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wording[edit]

Billybostickson brought up a good point about this template. He says:

"This user is new to Wikipedia." It does not say Wikipedia (en) so I think you ought to replace it with "This user is new to English Wikipedia" or delete it.

I agree. To avoid cross-language confusion, I do think we should approve Billybostickson's proposal. (I talked back to him, by the way.) Maccore Henni Mii! Pictochat Mii! (Note: respond on minha (my) talk page) 21:54, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
