Entertainment talk page vandal[edit]

LTA by a person, using multiple IP addresses, who does the following actions on talk pages of media companies:

  • Refactoring of preexisting talk page comments to either gibberish or false/misleading statements. Examples: [1]
  • Adding gibberish or false/misleading statements, often about false mergers and acquisitions. Examples: [2], [3]

User also sometimes vandalizes articles by inserting intentionally false information. Examples: [4].

Recently, the editor has had a weird obsession with a hoax that Happy Tree Friends has been purchased by NBCUniversal, e.g., [5].

IPs geolocate to the Florida, USA area, but recently the same behavior has appeared on IPs that geolocate to or near Kansas, USA.

Disney parks date vandal[edit]

A person using multiple IP addresses who persistently changes opening dates of attractions at various theme parks, but with a particular focus on Disney California Adventure Park. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason for the dates changes the user makes.

The editor either falsifies the dates on which certain park attractions opened or, as has been more common recently, intentionally editing articles to falsely state that certain attractions have closed. For example, see this edit.

The IPs geolocate to the California area (typically Central California).

United Kingdom cartoon date vandal[edit]

A person using multiple IP addresses who persistently changes dates in articles about cartoons and adds misinformation about acting credits. This vandalism has been ongoing for several months as of August 2019. The IPs geolocate to the United Kingdom, often Bradford.
