Not enough in-text citations for the amount of information presented
Instead of citing the sources, the article currently references them at the beginning of each section, but this isn't sufficient because the reader has no idea of what information came from which source
Uneven distribution of information; particularly, the article includes specific sub-points focusing on examples of instruments from Mesopotamia, but not in any of the others
The contents could be organized differently such as with geographical regions such as "River Valley Civilizations", "Mediterranean", and "Asia" and have the specific countries as the sub-points
Particularly in the introduction, the wording could be stronger because every sentence currently begins with the same phrase
Wording could be stronger in the leading description and provide a broader overview of what the article is going to address
The leading description originally separates tattoos into three categories: decorative, symbolic, and pictorial; it would make sense that these categories would be present in the contents, but they aren't
The organization of the content isn't logical
It would make sense to me to include history of tattoos from more areas of the world other than just Europe and the United States (doesn't seem inclusive enough)
The information in the "Associations" section could probably be addressed within the historical background section; each culture/people group has different connotations with tattoos
