I, User:Dwhitewdc, am an employee of the Teamsters Union, a labor union which represents 1.4 million men and women in a variety of professions in the United States and Canada. I am also a member of Teamsters Local 237 in New York, NY. I accept the editing conditions specified at that page. I will not make any edits that would not be beneficial to the goals of Wikipedia.

My main edits tend to consist of the following activities:

  • Creating or enhancing existing entries about the Teamsters Union and related events.

I will modify my editing behavior based on problems cited by other editors or if my editing conflicts with other Wikipedia guidelines. I ask that other editors do not hesitate to contact me, via my user talk page, if I appear to be going against this declaration. (I have adjusted the above to be particular to me, but the original is found on user: sarasays)

I am also an amateur genealogist currently working on the history of the Blackwell family in Arkansas, Sutton family in Kentucky, and the White family in South Carolina and Virginia. I am a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of the Revolution and First Families of Maryland and The Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims.

I also support the work of contemporary artists, particularly those in the Washington, D.C. area. As a former board member of the Washington Project for the Arts/Corcoran Washington Project for the Arts, I want to encourage artists to thrive.
