Foucault in California: A True Story―Wherein the Great French Philosopher Drops Acid in the Valley of Death is a 2019 memoir authored by Simeon Wade and published posthumously by Heyday Books. The book, first written by Wade in 1990, provides a firsthand account of his 1975 meeting with Michel Foucault in California and their trip to Death Valley with Wade's partner Michael Stoneman.
