G'day, folks! I've been a Wikipedia contributor since 2006, and a frequenter of the site since 2004!

My areas of particular interest are Nursing, Politics, Political Blogs, Snark, The University of Virginia, Tenacious D, and the US Navy. In real life, I'm a single dad with a beautiful baby girl.

I'm also a member of the Article Rescue Squad and consider myself, in the tradition of Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger, a wild-eyed inclusionist (as my membership in the Inclusionist Society indicates). I edit and save Wikipedia articles worthy of encyclopediac entry from the forces of pedanticism and self-importancy! I'm very grating and persistent- I will hunt down your logical fallacies, your pedantic and narrow interpretation of the rules, your contrived reasoning, and I'll expose you for what you are. I strongly agree there's a community standard to be adhered to, but folks- this is about the free flow and exchange of information! Wikipedia isn't perfect, and there are plenty of folks out there with an axe to grind, or who feel self-important about being Wikipedia editors, and use unsuspecting folks' articles as their outlets. We're here to *create*, not destroy- and you would be amazed at how many people here only destroy, never creating anything to add to our project- and remember folks, no matter how important it makes you feel- you're a small person on a big internet. And I won't stand for it! Nope! No more, you'll just have to go kick a cat or something! Get a life! I should know, I've got none! :)

I'm also a roving content editor, hunting down vandalism and fixing it where necessary. In my spare time (what little I have), I'm fond of writing character bios such as this one, where I make up ridiculous information about myself in order to get you to mind your own damn business and either get me some coffee or get off my lawn!

Civility Award
For your continued even temperment at the AfD for Motley Moose I an honored to award you this Civility Barnstar. Most specially for your recognition that even when editors occasionally quote only the parts of guideline that support their arguments and discount the rest, you continued to show patience and courtesy. Many could learn from your example. Best, Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 05:17, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
