Your edit on Argylle[edit]

There are several issues with your edit.

Avoid using “although” and “though” together, as they are both subordinating conjunctions that introduce a contrast. You can use either one, but not both. Use commas to separate the clauses and the quotation from the rest of the sentence. Use a colon instead of a comma before the quotation, as it introduces a direct speech. Use proper capitalization and punctuation for the quotation. Alon Alush (talk) 13:09, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You reverted twice without any explanation whatsoever. That's indistinguishable from edit warring.
If you had followed the WP:SIMPLE rules and explained or even said "grammar" in the edit summary that would have shown good faith.
Rome wasn't built in a day, improving instead of reverting would have shown some good faith. Wikipedia gets better through collaborative editing.
First and foremost I believe it is important for an Encyclopedia to be factually correct and not misrepresent a figure as the budget when the director has debunked it. I would appreciate help with copyediting and grammar and I will look at that next if no one else reverts without any explanation. -- 109.79.74.142 (talk) 13:16, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as done at Argylle.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Daniel Quinlan (talk) 22:42, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Can you clarify your reasoning here please? Misleading information was being added repeatedly to the Infobox, facts were being misrepresented in a way that was likely to cause confusion to readers of this encyclopedia. (Actual journalists seemed to be confused too.) I explained the reason for my edits, I tried to provide clear edit summaries and tried to get editors to discuss on the article talk page. I added a warning comment to the wiki source
User:Alon_Alush reverted without any edit summary[1] twice. Then discussed and made some progress.
User:TropicAces reverted without an edit summary[2] and only later discussed on the article talk page.[3]
Another editor commented on the article talk page saying his interpretation and understanding of past discussions is that the studio costs and production budget are not the same.
I thought it was important that this encyclopedia not misrepresent the facts. How might I have done this differently? -- 109.79.74.142 (talk) 00:44, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Once it's clear there is a content dispute, it's time to stop editing and start talking. Sometimes that takes time. Read WP:AVOIDEDITWAR for advice on how to handle that situation. After your block ends, you may also want to consider creating an account because it makes communication easier for all parties. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 04:41, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
