Please maintain 'ITF Futures' alongside World Tennis Tour - It's an important info. Thanks 186.26.98.32 (talk) 20:00, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not if the player has no Futures events in the chart. It's useless information. Fyunck(click) (talk) 20:21, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Futures are the same events like World Tennis Tour - just an old name. I still think It should be alongside WTT, to educate users who might not know about this info 186.26.98.32 (talk) 20:43, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Tennis is littered with dozens of name changes like these. We use the new names only unless they also participated under the old. Sometimes even then we only use the new names. For the women we use WTA 1000 only unless they participated when it was called Tier 1. Fyunck(click) (talk) 20:55, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, so please leave this way: "ATP Challenger and ITF World Tennis Tour" NOT "ATP Challenger and ITF WTT" - new tennis fans won't get what later means 186.26.98.32 (talk) 21:07, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough for the heading. The table column should be WTT but the section heading can be more detailed. But the tables should never combine two different tours... Challenger events are the minor leagues but WTT is minor-minor league with lots of kids playing. Those should be separate tables and certainly should never have their wins/losses combined. OK - I'll edit some profiles with these new rules. Thanks 186.26.98.32 (talk) 22:49, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And you certainly do not break things down by surface for these lower level events... especially if there is only 1-5 easily counted tournaments. Fyunck(click) (talk) 08:36, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
