Per WP:SOCK, this is a public declaration:

  1. On May 2, 2010, I retired from editing Wikipedia as causa sui (talk · contribs · blocks · protections · deletions · page moves · rights · RfA). I did not edit Wikipedia at all for a period of approximately five to six months.
  2. After some time had passed, I began to edit Wikipedia again as an anonymous user, occasionally making small edits.
  3. Finally, I decided to register this account so that I could have a watchlist and contribute more directly to some articles that had been on the front page, especially Death of Osama bin Laden.
  4. My increased involvement in the editing of that article lead to me resuming an editing pattern more active and consistent with my editing activity prior to my retirement.
  5. Therefore, I decided that the best thing to do is to cease editing from this username and resume editing as causa sui (talk · contribs · blocks · protections · deletions · page moves · rights · RfA).

All comments, questions, or concerns should go to User Talk:causa sui, as I will not be logging into this account for the forseeable future.
