You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Appy Pie requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Appy Pie (2nd nomination). When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion nomination of Simron Upadhyay

Hello, Batamore,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username John B123 and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Simron Upadhyay, for deletion, because a consensus decision previously decided that it wasn't suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. If you wish to restore a page deleted via a deletion discussion, please use the deletion review process instead, rather than reposting the content of the page.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|John B123}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

@John B123: I had approved the article after checking the notability and references. I have contested the speedy deletion. Diptanshu 💬 10:00, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
@Diptanshu Das: Please see my comments about sourcing on the talk page. Please note that as a general principle, articles accepted at AfC should be reviewed at NPP by a different reviewer. --John B123 (talk) 10:55, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

Tenses of TV series

Firstly, thank you for your efforts to improve Wikipedis, but, unfortunately, I have had to revert a number of recent edits about TV series. As stated at MOS:TENSE "By default, write articles in the present tense, including those covering works of fiction .... and products or works that have been discontinued".
This often causes confusion, so I will try to explain it

Almost certainly, a TV series still exist somewhere, on tape, DVD or whatever medium, so, as it still exists, and could be rebroadcast in the future, we use the present tense "XXX is a TV series". What can be in the past, provided it is complete, is when it was broadcast, "it was originally broadcast on channel Y, from 1998 to 2000".

Please also note the generally accepted past participle is Broadcast, not Broadcasted, which many sources proscribe, as is explained here - Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 13:28, 19 June 2021 (UTC)

Looking at your contributions, you have made numerous changes of tense to such articles, I initially only picked up the ones where you added "Broadcasted". Can I leave you to tidy up? or would you prefer me to do so? - Arjayay (talk) 13:31, 19 June 2021 (UTC)

Helloo, thank you for the suggestion. MOS:TENSE was not known to me previously that is why i had made those mistakes. I will read the following and edit accordingly. As I don't know how to revert back the changes i will prefer you to tidy up and also i will be very happy if you teach me how to do so. Batamore (talk) 14:00, 19 June 2021 (UTC)

Hi Batamore, reverting the changes will have to be done manually. Go to your contributions list which shows which of your edits are "current". click on the "diff" for the first current edit (if you are using desktop mode, hold "control" while clicking it, so it opens a new tab, (I'd click on 5 or 6 to save returning to the list too often)). Click on undo, then paste an edit summary such as Rv as [[MOS:TENSE]] and save. - Arjayay (talk) 14:50, 19 June 2021 (UTC)

Hi Batamore, I've cleaned up a few more of these but from looking at your contributions it looks like there could be dozens more to go. How are you getting along reverting these? In future, before making changes like this to so many articles, it would be a good idea to do a bit of research into Wikipedia's policies to see if what you're intending to do is consistent with those. — Manticore 01:45, 20 June 2021 (UTC)

@Nomadicghumakkad: thank you for reviewing my created draft. You have declined my draft and the reason is that the draft is not meeting NBOOK criteria. My question is why my created draft is not meeting the criteria? As i have provided articles from multiple sources like The Hindu(RS) - They reviewed the book,Indulge Express-The article is about the translation of Ek Boond Lahoo Ki translated into A Drop of Blood, Google books, buisness standard,firstpost,scroll.in. I am submitting the draft again. I am requesting you to read those articles again and rereview the draft. Batamore (talk) 18:49, 29 June 2021 (UTC)

Hello Batamore, first of all, thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia project. The Hindu source is a book review but all others are description of book or details of authors. @Nomadicghumakkad: thank you for your reply. If u read the articles carefully you can clearly see that the articles are about the book not the author. Here i am providing you two more articles other than The Hindu article if you read then you can see the article is about the book not about the author. Outlook- https://www.outlookindia.com/newsscroll/joginder-pauls-iconic-urdu-novel-now-in-english/1831982 Business Standard - https://wap.business-standard.com/article/pti-stories/joginder-paul-s-iconic-urdu-novel-now-in-english-120051201011_1.html Read those articles carefully and reply me here and let me know when will i submit resubmit the draft. Notice

The article Abhishek Mahananda has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable. False narration, he is not an elected member, only a defeated candidate.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Autopatrolled right granted

Hi Batamore, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Titodutta (talk) 02:16, 2 November 2021 (UTC)

Thank you for accepting my submitted draft

Hi Batamore thank you for accepting my submitted draft (Shakti Lal Shah). I have created another draft can you please review the draft ? Draft name- Draft:Shweta Rohira Sgloves (talk) 09:57, 24 November 2021 (UTC)

Hello, submit your draft through AFC process. If the subject meets the criteria then me or any other editor will definitely accept the draft and if it does not meet the criteria then it will declined. Batamore (talk) 08:43, 25 November 2021 (UTC)

  • @Batamore: as you said I have submitted draft for review can you please review the draft ? Sgloves (talk) 11:42, 26 November 2021 (UTC)

Page creations

Hi, I nominated Pranshu for deletion and was looking at other pages you created. Of the 10 or so recent ones I looked at, Uma_(2022_film), Baba_Baby_O will only be released next year. Nirbhaya_(2021_film) released a month ago but has only two sources - one "Poster release" PR, other two para interview. Ekannoborti sources are all actor interviews. Same for this director Suparn Verma. For this book The_Rule_Breakers, one is author interview, another specifically "micro" review.

Of the sources you used to get Pranshu page recreated here, ToI one seemed promotional (also see WP:TOI), the other was a blog of a marketing firm masquerading as a newspaper.

My request is, please do go through WP:RS and WP:PRIMARY. Just being hosted on Indian Express or Hindu websites doesn't automatically make that content reliable. And there is really no hurry to create pages for unreleased films, see WP:TOOSOON. Hemanthah (talk) 05:12, 10 December 2021 (UTC)

@Titodutta: can I request inputs from you here? Also see Talk:Abhishek_Mahananda, which was created as page of an elected member, but corrected later as a lost candidate after somebody prod-ed it. Hemanthah (talk) 05:21, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
  • Thanks for the ping. Yes, PRs should not be cited. Some of the film articles mentioned above have available sources. It needs some more work to find sources from English and Bangla/{subject_language}. For example: Nirbhaya, doing a quick Google search I see sources such as 1, 2 (Google Translate works for Bangla). About WP:TOOSOON, it is an essay. We need to see what is the status of a movie: shooting started, shooting completed, post-production completed, to be released, released etc. If a film's post-production is completed/release date is announce, we need to see it against the criteria of WP:NFILMS, and that's how upcoming film articles such as List of Bollywood films of 2022 are created. Over-all I think it would be good to spend some more time to further expand the articles. --Titodutta (talk) 06:59, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
Rather than examining the notability of the articles here, @Titodutta:, I'd like your thoughts about the editor's choices of sources. I pinged you since you granted them autopatrol. The sources they've added indicates to me that they do not understand WP:RS all that well. Do the Abhishek Mahananda, Pranshu Chatur Lal etc pages show they can continue to bypass NPP? Hemanthah (talk) 08:05, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
  • Hello, thanks for the message. In the last message, you made a list of articles, and pinged me. Anyway, I see scope of improvement (the message related to PR is conveyed), but I clearly don't see major alerts at this moment and don't find reasons to believe that the editor completely fails to understands RS. While I agree with the observations on the Abhishek Mahananda article, over-all I don't see major issue right now. --Titodutta (talk) 09:51, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
My message clearly was about sourcing, but you chose to address only the peripheral WP:TOOSOON part. And again, I never said they "completely" fail to understand, only that they need to pay more attention and can do with more oversight, not less. The whole AfC thing is there to guide, and autopatrol deprives them of opportunities for feedback.
But since you appear to be not interested in following what I actually said, I'll stop here. Hemanthah (talk) 10:08, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
  • Do not assume that I am not interested! What I told is: is there any scope of improvement? — yes. Is there an immediate alert? — over-all I don't think so right away. --Titodutta (talk) 10:22, 10 December 2021 (UTC)

Nomination of Pranshu Chatur Lal for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Pranshu Chatur Lal is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pranshu Chatur Lal (2nd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.

Hemanthah (talk) 18:40, 9 December 2021 (UTC)

  • @Hemanthah: Hello, I checked that you have nominated Pranshu Chatur Lal for deletion. Let me tell you one thing, that this article was previously deleted through AFD. After that when new coverages came, I requested to the Admin @Premeditated Chaos: who had previously closed the AFD discussion as DELETE. She checked everything and then only she had undeleted the article. The article is clearly passing WP:GNG and WP:NMUSICIAN. So i think and i request you to check the previous discussions.Thank You Batamore (talk) 07:46, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
I did and I have linked to it down below. I wouldn't characterise that discussion the way you are doing. It was undeleted with the understanding that you'll add better sources. The sources you added - Kolkata Mail - was from a marketing agency as I've said. (It'd be better if you reply in this section below so that discussion is in a single place). Hemanthah (talk) 08:10, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
  • I was not aware that Kolkata Mail was PR/unreliable, or I would never have undeleted the article. ♠PMC(talk) 23:13, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
*Hi @Premeditated Chaos: As you said Kolkata mail is a press release, Can you please let me know how to identify? It will help me to work better in other articles as well. Thank you. Batamore (talk) 07:07, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
  • I've replied at the AfD; no need to split the discussion. ♠PMC(talk) 07:30, 15 December 2021 (UTC)

Kapil Tiwari

In Kapil Tiwari, a stub which you moved to article space now, you write that he's a doctor of medicine and categorised it as such. Is there any source for that? It appears to be a doctorate degree, like Ph D; not that he practices medicine? Hemanthah (talk) 08:04, 15 December 2021 (UTC)

  • Indeed, it seems to be a PhD degree holder, and not a medical practitioner. I am removing that part, until a reliable source is found that shows Tiwari is a medical practitioner. --Titodutta (talk) 07:51, 17 December 2021 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Manoj Nair requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Manoj Nair.

WP:AFC Helper News

Hello! I wanted to drop a quick note for all of our AFC participants; nothing huge and fancy like a newsletter, but a few points of interest.

  • AFCH will now show live previews of the comment to be left on a decline.
  • The template {{db-afc-move}} has been created - this template is similar to {{db-move}} when there is a redirect in the way of an acceptance, but specifically tells the patrolling admin to let you (the draft reviewer) take care of the actual move.

Short and sweet, but there's always more to discuss at WT:AFC. Stop on by, maybe review a draft on the way? Whether you're one of our top reviewers, or haven't reviewed in a while, I want to thank you for helping out in the past and in the future. Cheers, Primefac, via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 15:59, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

Review the draft

Hello hope you are doing well. I had created an article named Arham Abbasi which was deleted previous day and the reason was G4. And the admin User:Justlettersandnumbers who deleted the page suggested me that the article is better then the previous one and he/she told me to expand and submit the existing draft (Draft:Arham Abbasi) which has been created already by an another edit. I have expanded the draft and now I have selected the draft for review. So I will be thankful if you check and review the draft. Thank you in advance. Trakinwiki (talk) 05:11, 14 February 2022 (UTC)

@Trakinwiki: Hello, I saw your created draft. Can you please tell me why the subject is notable? Also I would like to suggest you to expand and elaborate the career section of the article and also make some substantial changes as editors have suggested you. Batamore (talk) 10:15, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
Hi Batamore the subject is passing wp:nactor. And wp:gng. And as you said I have expanded the career section with proper reason. The subject is notable cause he has started his career and also got fame with the MTV show called Webbed. In 2017 he has played a role named Sahil Qureshi in the film Game Over where he played the parallel lead role. In 2022 he has acted in a web series named Prayag where he played the lead role. In the same year he has completed 1 year on the TV Imlie, where he is playing a important character. I hope you have understood why the subject is notable. So if you think the subject is notable then you can review otherwise you will give some valuable comment on it. Thanks Trakinwiki (talk) 19:14, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
Did you see Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Arham_Abbasi from January 2022? Ravensfire (talk) 18:18, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
@Trakinwiki: Hello, i have read the draft Arham Abbasi and i have seen that you have made some substantial changes and elaborated the article. I think the subject meets WP:NACTOR.So i have accepted the draft and moved it to the main space. I will suggest you to edit the page further. Batamore (talk) 18:18, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
Hello User:Ravensfire, thank you for your message. No, I did not note the AFD discussion. I have thoroughly studied the draft, the references, and added my inputs and suggestions to improve the draft. I would be happy to learn from your experience. Thank You Batamore (talk) 18:41, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
No worries! This article has had some interesting history and puffery (describe a minor role as lead). I can't tell if it's just a fan editing, or if there's some paid editing happening here. I think it's still a borderline article with probably one significant role and questionable after that. For example "completed 1 year on the TV Imlie, where he is playing a important character" - but nothing to help demonstrate that importance, and the show article just lists them in the cast. So how would a reader know they are important? Not sure on the right step forward for this. Perhaps just tag it for notability and needs sources and this will be another stub level article on minor Indian actor. Ravensfire (talk) 21:33, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
