I think you'll find the information somewhere in here....(haven't looked in detail): Wikipedia:WikiProject Geographical coordinates. Cheers and happy editing. Lectonar (talk) 06:29, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You can use a picture from the German wiki by uploading the picture to the English version (at Wikipedia:File Upload Wizard). Pictures from Commons (commons.wikimedia.org) however can be used directly.

Socking[edit]

Ice Cream is really tasty says (s)he is "doing a school project on Wikipedia and Sockpuppets." and asked questions here on 12:42, 19 September 2012 (UTC):[reply]

  1. Why do you think people use sockpuppets/vandalise on Wikipedia?
  2. How does it make you feel when you see a page vandalised?
  3. What do you think is going through the mind of a sock puppeteer?

Answers may follow after (s)he passes the Turing test. News on Sock puppetry in the web: [1].

Disambiguation link notification for September 26[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sea ice, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Main (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

try typing {{recent death|Last name, First name}} for your article. There should be a similar one for current events, search them by typing "Template:...." into the search bar. good luck

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
