Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:New Celeste

Hey GreenMeansGo and Worldbruce I am simply trying to create a Wikipedia page about the band New Celeste which tells the long history of the band accurately and with numerous citations to support the article. I can't see how anyone else could write such a detailed article about the band, although if it ever goes online, no doubt other people will wish to make contributions. Perhaps I should have involved a third party in the creation of this article? It is certainly not being written for any commercial gain. I have been helped and advised in the course of writing this article very kindly by GreenMeansGo and would welcome his comments on your message Iainmf (talk) 10:08, 18 December 2017 (UTC)

Hey Worldbruce. For whatever it's worth, Iainmf has been forthcoming since their first posts at the Teahouse some months ago about their connection to the subject. That they have not made a formal blanket declaration is probably more my fault than theirs, since I darn well know better, and was concentrating a little too much on the state of the draft.

To Iainmf, yes, per WP:COI, and in the interest of full transparency, it's generally considered good from to make a blanket and persistent declaration, for example, on your user page (which can be created by clicking here, and using something like Template:UserboxCOI. If you would like, you may be more specific in a comment, to the effect of what your specific real-world connection is, and whether you are or are not being paid to edit currently, rather than simply having a strong personal connection. Hopefully this helps clear things up. And apologies to all for not explicitly clearing this up sooner, which I admittedly should have done. GMG^talk 13:39, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
