Orphaned Fair use
Orphaned Fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Naruto Narutimate Hero 3 Boxart.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Salavat 02:58, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Narutoultnin.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Narutoultnin.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 21:51, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Your email address

I noticed that you list one of your email addresses in full on your user page. Doesn't this make it vulnerable to being harvested for spam? If people are wary of this, they usually write "at" instead of the @ sign or "dot com" instead of the full email domain, e.g. yours could be written as BlackAvenger207 at gmail.com. BTW, it looks like you copied User:Amarrg's leave a message code, but didn't change the name parameter to yours, so I've changed it for you; this message was accidentally posted to his talk page first by mistake. BrokenSphereMsg me 07:06, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Strike that, Amarrg might have something customized going on because it looks weird when I substituted your name for his, so I switched it back for now. You could use {{talkheader}} instead, as it defaults to the user's talk page when they put it on, and I use it myself. BrokenSphereMsg me 07:12, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the barnstar!

Maverick, thanks much for the good humor barnstar. I really do need encouragement like that. I got a nasty message from an editor a few weeks back for being too sarcastic in one of my edit summaries. Fortunately, another user saw fit to leave a compliment on my humor that took much of the sting out of the rebuke. I'm glad to know someone values my style; I really am an obsessive copy editor, and if it weren't for the chance to vent my pique I'd probably go mad.

I'm not wanting to just give a barnstar for getting one, but in this case your compliment is just the thing that's needed to keep me going, and will add greatly to my motivation and boldness. So, I'm awarding you:

The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar
For giving encouragement where it is needed. Many more edits will take place because of your generous boost. Preston McConkie (talkcontribs) 07:05, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

AWB

Hi, Just so you know, AWB isnt for vandal fighting - It has no functions that can help in anyway at all.

You have been approved anyway as you wanted it for other purposes

AWB Rules

Please note the following in the AWB rules:

  • Avoid making insignificant or inconsequential edits such as only adding or removing some white space, moving a stub tag, converting some HTML to Unicode, removing underscores from links (unless they are bad links), or something equally trivial. This is because it wastes resources and clogs up watch lists.

Thanks. —METS501 (talk) 19:27, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Denzel Crocker.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Denzel Crocker.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:26, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

I reviewed you. I apologize for the delay in doing so. Shalom (HelloPeace) 03:50, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
