Age of mental maturation[edit]

I’m unsure whether the idea of ‘the adolescent brain’ is pseudoscience or reality. I believe it should be mentioned in this wiki that this idea never was apart of all extensive adolescent scientific data until recent years. The founder of IQ testing stated emphatically, the brain is at its height by age 14. This philosophy is still shared by some (now ignored) psychological minds like Robert Epstein. What makes it more ‘fishy’ imo, is all the children lobbyist/advocacy groups that have grown astronomically in D.C. (also in other western U.N. nations) since the mid 90s. I tend to think this (among other teen minor issues I could discuss here in detail) have been purposely changed & age extended to support the heightened criminal penalties regarding teen minors, sex & nudity. This is called the infantilizing teens minors.

Imo, they feel this change has been necessary, bc it’s so easy to see pre teens being children, but viewing H.S. aged teens as children (in the same light as pre teens) has never been a part of society, as one can easily see so many in that age group accomplishing & playing major roles in adult like behavior in history 2600:1700:76A0:FF10:CD5D:C0F7:BBD5:E273 (talk) 15:05, 17 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
