Lake Margaret[edit]

Have seen your edits - make sure you read the intro to wikipedia - to keep your editing in line with general policies! SatuSuro 08:22, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How come no mention of the fact that due to the heritage status the pipeline rebuild and the restart of the turbines? SatuSuro 08:24, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BTW I was in the power station - literally - the weekend before closing last year and have a large mount of photos - just very delayed about getting them up into wiki commons to use. I lived in Queenstown some time ago and took a very large number of photos as I was doing a lot of work around the place, simply havent had the time to put them on...SatuSuro 14:57, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
In your edit in the Lake Margaret aticle - you need to put some citations/refrences in - the info needs to be attributed to a source! SatuSuro 15:23, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Also its good to know who the admins are - Scott Davis and Chuq (the Hobart one) are always worth going to with any question at all - they are both well versed in Tasmanian issues - and although they mightnt know the west coast as well as you or I - can do things ordinary editors cannot do when problems arise. It is worth having a look how I linked the abt railway in the article as well - there are quite a lot of west coast articles I would be interested to see what you think of them - and how you might improve them. My last place of residence was in Sticht street across from the Galley museum - sadly the building is no longer there. There is not yet a stub about Sticht - maybe you would like to start one? remember we need good refs/cites for articles - some of my stubs havent been touched for over a year and might need refs themselves as well SatuSuro 23:47, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Scheme article - I have put something on the power station talk page - I have to get off now - mightnt be back on until pm - so check out all the related articles, have a good look - and then think about how they might fit and correlate. Out of curiosity are you at utas doing something on this? SatuSuro 23:55, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
As I said I have to gett off probably off for about 8 hours - keep looking at other articles - very important SatuSuro 23:58, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
My apologies - on the lake margaret hydro page there is the current pdfs - if you havent seen the reports that were on mid year last year - I can email you the pdfs if necessary SatuSuro 06:58, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Talk Pages[edit]

It is well worth checking out the intro (that you have blanked) - and checking out generally accepted procedures regarding talk pages - have a look at others. Its worth checking them out and copying archiving practices and talk page guideline headers... SatuSuro 14:46, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Scientists of Modern Music (TSOMM) (band)[edit]

Hi Travis,

Thanks for your message. Unfortunately, I can't see who deleted your article either now, not being an administrator. If you think your article was inappropriately speedied (I didn't see the article after I tagged it) you can request a review at Wikipedia:Deletion review, following the steps shown. It may also be possible for an administrator to recreate the page in your userspace so it can be worked on again.

Articles on bands, especially short stubs that do not assert the notability of the subject are easy targets for deletion-minded editors. With bands and biographies it may be worth working on them in your userspace and only creating them in the article space when you are sure that the article satisfies WP:MUSIC or WP:BIO. With regard to your point about 67 Special, be careful that you don't rely on WP:WAX too much. If someone feels that the article on 67 Special doesn't meet Wikipedia guidelines it too will be tagged at some point. If there is anything else I can do please let me know and happy editing! --Mattinbgn/ talk 19:27, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pleased I was able to help. I am willing to take a look at it for you when you are ready, but it may worth visiting Wikipedia:WikiProject Music and its sub-projects by genre for assistance as well. Cheers, Mattinbgn/ talk 23:55, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox[edit]

Its better to put your potential article in a sandbox - what you do is create a sub page of your user page - look at somebody elses (mine if you want) and reverse engineer - create the sandbox page - so your user page can be for what uit is. VIP it must have your user name as a subpage otherwise it out there in the ether of the mainspace of the wikipedia universe. Cheers (btw - third part refs - newspaper arts/web items - are what you need for the notaability issue) SatuSuro 07:37, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Almost[edit]

EVERY Hydro link in Tasmanian articles (power stations etc) are now dead - any ideas? Do they really prune their links so brutally so regularly? - cheers SatuSuro 03:34, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hobart area articles[edit]

Hello, in advance of a possible project in the Hobart area, we're looking to identify and improve a specific range of articles, mainly those associated with locations in the Hobart City Council region. If you'd like to find out more, please join in the discussion at WikiProject Tasmania, or check out the list of articles at QR list. If you'd prefer to not receive these notifications in the future, please let me know.
