Explaining[edit]

I patrolled your page. I went through the enormously-backlogged list of newly-created pages and confirmed that your page was okay: not spam, not an attack page, not a copyright violation, not any of the other reasons for which I would delete someone's page without asking. Then I clicked "patrolled" to remove it from the list of "pages that have not yet been patrolled", and moved on to the next entry. That's all. DS (talk) 20:19, 17 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Alex Gilbert[edit]

DragonflySixtyseven asked me to look into this because I'm a New Zealander.

The sources you have do not appear to meet our criteria set out at WP:RS. They are either not independent of the subject, or are not sufficiently reliable.

Overall, I do not see a claim why this person should be considered notable. The documentary which is to air in February is a human interest story about someone finding their birth parents, but many people have interesting stories such as this and do not meet our inclusion standards. In particular, I don't see that Gilbert meets the criteria given in that link:

"The person has made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in his or her specific field"

If you are Alex Gilbert, or have a close connection to him, you should also read our guidelines on "conflict of interest".

You are welcome to reply to me on this page.-gadfium 04:16, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
