My user subpage[edit]

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that User:Wmahan/External link watchlist is a subpage of my own user page, so it's not anything official and it's not necessarily endorsed by anyone but me. Within reason, editors have full editorial control over pages in their own user space, so the content is not really up for debate the way something in an article would be.

"Public domain data intermediaries" is the term I used to describe organizations that take public domain data, possibly do some calculation or manipulation on it, and then have a model to make money by offering it to the public. It's not a slam against your site, and you've probably noticed there are others in the category. I added your site because there were accounts/IPs spamming links to it even while we were discussing the issue at WT:WPSPAM, so it seemed like a good idea to keep an eye on it. Ah...I see. Thanks for the explanation. Hopefully we can get everything worked out.Vanvleit. 20:59, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
