Removing Hebrew links?[edit]

I can't read Hebrew, so I am wondering why you are removing links for various theme park articles? --blm07 20:05, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Becuase those Hebrew article ceased to exist - they were moved to the main article. Regards, Yonidebest 20:22, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your RfA[edit]

Hi, does this mean you are withdrawing your nomination then?- TwoOars 20:18, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It does. Thanks, Yonidebest 21:36, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong interwiki spread by your bot[edit]

Hi, I've tried to fix a wrong interwiki, but your bot has put it back in place. I'm referring to Bloch_wave linked to es:Ecuaciones de Bloch. The former is the wavefunction for an electron in a solid, while the latter is an equation to describe magnetisation interaction with a magnetic field.

The interwiki is wrong on many wikipedia, can you fix it in all of them?

As far as I know all the interwikied pages refer to the former concept, but the spanish one. The correct spanish page would be es:Onda de Bloch (as can be inferred from here) but it does not exist yet.

thank you! 147.122.5.216 (talk) 15:40, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Err, OK. I removed the link manually from the related pages. Yonidebest Ω Talk‏ 21:28, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bot question[edit]

Hi Yoni! Is there a way to force your bot to skip certain pages? For example, it added an incorrect interwiki to Battle of Nitzanim, and will likely do so again, because the Hebrew article's interwiki links here. Is there a "magic word" to prevent this or do I have to revert the bot manually each time? Thanks, Ynhockey (Talk) 05:47, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

manually - definitely not. I will search for a solution. Yonidebest Ω Talk‏ 22:30, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've reverted your change and explained on talk page. PamD (talk) 08:09, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Editnotice, and your sig[edit]

Hi
I've answered at WT:Editnotice#Adding this feature in other wikipedias, but also wanted to let you know that your signature is coming out garbled:

[[User:Yonidebest|Yonidebest]] Ω [[User talk:Yonidebest|<font color="#{{SUBST:ס:#switch:{{SUBST:#חשב:{{SUBST:#זמן:s}} mod 12}}|0=DAA520|1=006400|2=0000CD|3=8B008B|4=9370DB|5=2F4F4F|6=A9A9A9|7=DDA0DD|8=87CEEB|9=9ACD32|10=808000|11=BDB76B|12=00FF7F}}">Talk</font>]]‏ 08:49, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

The substitution is broken, probably because the templates and parser functions are called differently here. Also, there's apparently a RTL character somewhere in there, which gives the date a pretty much unreadable look for us LTR people. :)
Cheers, Amalthea 09:51, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

thanks, I didnt notice. I copied it from my he.wiki sig. should be fixed now. Yonidebest Ω Talk 10:50, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Temporary_screenshot_problem2.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Temporary_screenshot_problem2.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Melesse (talk) 20:48, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

take a better look. it alreay has a license which i picked from the drop down menu, "{{wikipedia-screenshot}}". it's not fair use, but free (and anyway temporary until the problem is fixed). Yonidebest Ω Talk 12:21, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:20, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
