August 2[edit]

To Whom It May Concern: I would like to add a picture to the article of a patient with "LINES". However, I have already submitted my draft for review. How do I add the picture afterwards? There are also discrepancies with the spacing in the article. Will I have an opportunity to change this after? L.mundra (talk) 01:21, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You can modify the submission to your heart's content, even after the review is complete. With regards to the image, please see Help:Files. If the image is freely licensed, it can be uploaded to Commons. If the image is not freely licensed, it would have to be uploaded to Wikipedia under a fair use claim. Your account is too young at the moment to upload images, but they do not influence the review process, so that can wait. Someguy1221 (talk) 01:34, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have a stray [[file: |frameless|alt=]] appearing in the right handside summary window and the "family motto" does not appear http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/C.C._van_Asch_van_Wijck , how do I fix that? Thank you Van Aldenhaag (talk) 04:05, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you read the instructions for Template:Infobox artist it does not tell you specifically, but shows to only enter the image file name and nothing else.  Most Infoboxes are that way. The other parameters are entered seperately.  I have fixed it up for you. --  :- ) Don 05:13, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Don! Van Aldenhaag (talk) 01:50, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I had this article (Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Economics of Governance) declined on 23 July 2012 by Excirial because it was not adequately supported by reliable sources. I have added the required citations and the article now meets the standard of a lot of other articles about journals in economics. Can I get the new version re-reviewed? Thanks, Mughni72 Mughni72 (talk) 19:05, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The decline message contains the line:
You are encouraged to make improvements by clicking on the "Edit" tab at the top of this page. When you are ready to resubmit, click here.
You ca do that, or you can manually resubmit the page by adding {{subst:submit}} to the top of the article. However, the reference you have added is a primary source, the journal's homepage. Wikipedia content should be based on reliable sources that are independent of the subject. Without such independent sources (ie someone else writing about the journal), the submission will be declined again. If no such sources exist, the journal may not be notable enough for a Wikipedia article. Huon (talk) 20:36, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Removing messages from your talk page[edit]

How do you delete messages in your Talk folder for your profile?

Ponies89 (talk) 19:54, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You can edit your talk page like any other page on Wikipedia and remove the messages. However, it might be more useful to archive the page when it becomes too large, and to keep the messages as a historical record. Huon (talk) 20:36, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

resubmission of a new article[edit]

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/The Mental and Social Life of Babies After two (helpful) declining reviews, the link for resubmitting my draft that was there after the first review is no longer there. I believe I have at last met both reviewers' requests for a brief encyclopedia entry on a book. Please resubmit it for me, or tell me how to do it. Thanks, Jncbll Jncbll (talk) 20:53, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have resubmitted your article for review. However, a larger issue I have, and I can't think of an easy way to resolve this, is I just have this gut feeling that it's not what I'd expect to see in an encyclopedia, and really struggle to take in what you're trying to say. Maybe the article should start "The Mental and Social Life of Babies is a book written by child psychologist Kenneth Kaye, and originally published in 1982. It discusses how the first two years of a child's life is the most important to shape them as a person. The book is considered influential by <list of people>..." Keep it simple, basically. Does that make sense? --Ritchie333 (talk) 21:06, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
