November 11[edit]

[Wikipedia talk:Articles for ceation/Paul R. Vahldiek, Jr.] I submitted a draft article for creation but don't know if it has been submitted or if it is correct. Went into the Talk page and got an answer by an editor, but I couldn't access the page to type anything. I did put my cursor in the area for typing, but I couldn't type.

Therefore, I need info on my submission, has an article been created for Paul R. Vahldiek, Jr.? Also, how will I be contacted?happyeditor 00:01, 11 November 2013 (UTC) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Paul_R._Vahldiek,_Jr. happyeditor 23:58, 10 November 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by C. Once I have reviewed my page and save it, am I ready to submit? What other steps are required? EPMogey (talk) 08:01, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No other steps are required; that submission is currently awaiting review. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 10:16, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

The article which I have had rejected clearly evidences that Shkliar won Ukraine's most prestigious literary award. Why isn't that proof of notability in itself?

Thank you

I will try to find a reviewer who can read Ukranian to give us a second opinion. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 11:39, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The article has been created at Vasyl Shkliar, it needs some work as the English is a bit rough in places. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 09:39, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

(Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Ripley LV426 Hi, I am having problems getting my article on the Federation of Writers (Scotland) cited. It is connected to the Scottish Poetry Library but nowhere on that subject's Wikipedia page is the Federation mentioned. How do I link and therefore verify my article. Should I contact the Poetry Library and ask them to include the Federation in their published article first? Thank You, Ripley LV426 RipleyLV426 (talk) 12:06, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

All pages detected by MadmanBon as similar to my article /Masror Hausen were created by me and I have the copyright. How can I display this on the article's Talk page. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ampersand&Ampersand (talkcontribs) 14:38, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there, you might find Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials to be useful in this regard. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 15:07, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I do not know what to type to accept the article, nor to decline articles.

You don't. If you don't know then you obviously do not have enough experience to do reviews. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 06:45, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

how do i submit article. i created it in draft, saved it, signed w 4 tildes and tried to submit it but i keep getting a response that article has not yet been submitted? 16:14, 11 November 2013 (UTC) ps why is everything so damn complicated on wikipedia??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mikesiris (talkcontribs)

Hello Mikesiris. You had submitted it correctly, but today it was reviewed and rejected for lack of context. The problem is that you had only one reference (and a very scant one at that) and had not clearly explained who this person is and why he is noteworthy. It was so short that it hardly qualified as a biography. I have copy edited the article, expanding it slightly, and added a section with further sources which attest to his notability. You can use those sources to reference and expand your draft into a proper biography. I suggest you work on this article until you get it into a reasonable state before submitting it again. Where did he study? What was the chronological course of his career, etc.? Hope this helps. Voceditenore (talk) 15:24, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the copy of your article. Please do not paste articles here. The link to it is sufficient. Voceditenore (talk) 06:32, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Further update: As Ekpotu a reasonably notable Nigerian politician and engineer, I have created a basic referenced stub article on him at Patrick Ekpotu. Fidel2000, you are welcome to expand the stub, but please do not copy text from other sources. Any additions must be in your own words Please also ensure that any addition to the article sticks to facts only and is written with a completely neutral point of view. A Wikipedia article is meant is to describe its subject (as verified by independent sources), not to promote him or her. Voceditenore (talk) 10:50, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
