00:13:24, 23 September 2014 review of submission by Dbjornskov[edit]

This is my first time on Wikipedia. I was advised today that our organization's page would be deleted by tonight if it was not updated. I don't know why the submission was not accepted but would be happy to provide whatever is necessary to retain and maintain the page. Please help me.

Dbjornskov (talk) 00:13, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You need to provide us with neutral, reliable sources which establish that this is a notable organization.
You need to re-write the article to remove the promotional, advertising-like tone.
You need to fully disclose your conflict of interest with regard to this organization.
Hope this helps. --Orange Mike | Talk 00:36, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

01:53:24, 23 September 2014 review of submission by 121.6.214.52[edit]

I am not sure why this review was rejected. Are you able to provide more information so I can edit accordingly? The company in refence is a real company with man y events throughout Asia - www.metasport.com Thank you

@Kdubssing: As is noted on the draft, the "submission's references do not adequately evidence the subject's notability". Most of your sources are just websites about races; they're not reliable and they don't confer notability. AsiaOne and The Jakarta Post are fine; the rest have to go. You should seek primarily to have good sources to prove the organization is notable. Chris Troutman (talk) 05:39, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

15:23:23, 23 September 2014 request for review by Severine8000[edit]

I have been writing an article on STRATEO, it has been declined. We made some changes on the references of the article on the 14th of May. We still have not had any news about our article. Can someone please tell us if the article is in line with Wikipedia's guidelines or if some more changes need to be made?

Many thanks for your help

Who is this "we" that made some changes on the 14th of May? --Orange Mike | Talk 17:46, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You had new further feedback because you never resubmitted it for review. It is not resubmitted now, but would not yet be accepted. I have left you comments on the draft.
Note that "we" is a challenging word here. We have a firm policy of 'one account = 1 editor'. Fiddle Faddle 08:57, 25 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

17:39:30, 23 September 2014 review of submission by DesperateMamma[edit]

I have been asked to verify that the article that I have submitted, Christopher Gunness, is different from the one allegedly already published in Wikipedia. How do I do that?

I can tell you now that there is no stand alone article called Christopher Gunness. Rather, there is a brief reference to him in the article on UNRWA.

DesperateMamma (talk) 17:39, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@DesperateMamma: Don't worry about that. Nik Sage created a redirect to List of Directors and Commissioners-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East and that can easily be un-done to make room for your article. There are a couple problems with this draft. First, biographies about living people must have sufficient in-line citations to support the content. You have whole paragraphs with no referencing. Second, from what I see Gunness is really only known for one incident where he cried on air. Glenn Beck could reliably tear up on his old show at least once a week. If you could bolster your sourcing and content about everything else that would help. You should try using references like this article from the BBC. 19:15:52, 23 September 2014 review of submission by Lizfarabee[edit]

Hello there, I believe I have submitted the page Yseop for review. I understand there is a bit of a backlog, however. Is it possible for someone to please verify that the Yseop page has in fact been submitted properly? It has been about a month since my original submission. I am open to criticism or suggestions on how to improve the page, as well. I look forward to hearing from you! Thank you in advance. Lizfarabee (talk) 19:15, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Lizfarabee: Yes, you've correctly submitted it. Rather than decline it, I'll tell you that too many of your sources are blogs or business PR publications. You need more independent and reliable sources to make a claim for notability. Chris Troutman (talk) 02:35, 24 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Chris. Thank you very much for the feedback! I will do as you've suggested to improve the page's notability and then return to this page for feedback. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lizfarabee (talkcontribs) 20:47, 24 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
