Request on 02:20:56, 30 June 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by Wuenschp[edit]

I am trying to write a very basic entry on a company whose services I used and a few friends of mine used. I realize the first time it was too much like an advertisement so I tried to make it more matter of fact. What do I need to do further to get it published? Thank you.

@Wuenschp: Please review WP:ORG, which is the guideline for articles about companies and organizations. You need to include citations to significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject of the article. Wikipedia articles, because anyone can edit them, are not reliable sources and should not be used as citaitons (you can create a wikilink instead to link to other articles). --Ahecht (TALK

@Wuenschp and Ahecht:, I've published your article to Cryo-Cell International. Note that the earlier draft had some promotional language bragging about their ratings, and also had some cited material that just talked about cord blood in general, not about the company, so I removed all those. I added in some cited material about their work, and also found they'd been the subject of some serious media/academia coverage of lawsuits against them, so I added that. I encourage the submitter, and anyone else who's reading this, to keep an eye on that new article for a bit to ensure that nobody affiliated with the company tries to slip in and remove the negative bits, because they have enough coverage that they meet Notability and definitely need to be in the article for balance. @JainSayam: Wikipedia cannot legally accept text copied and pasted from other websites. Any text put in an article should be written in your own words, not copied or closely paraphrased. In addition, please make sure that the company meets the standards for inclusion on Wikipedia, which you can find at WP:CORP. --Ahecht (TALK

15:59:09, 30 June 2015 review of submission by Lynn R. McGee[edit]

Lynn R. McGee (talk) 15:59, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Today, June 30, 2015, I received notice that my Wikipedia submission was not accepted. May I please have some feedback as to why it was rejected? Thank you, Lynn

@Lynn R. McGee: Please read the comments in the pink and grey box at the top of Draft:Antonio Pérez (educator). You need to cite significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject of the article. According to the reviewer on the article, all the sources you cites either weren't significant coverage of Pérez himself (not just coverage of the college) or weren't independent. --Ahecht (TALK
