I am new to Wikipedia editing. Have had trouble uploading a photo to go with the article despite its author having granted unlimited use. I haven't found where to direct the author's message so as to enable me to upload the photo. What do you mean by "author"? Who took the photograph? Who owns the intellectual property rights in the photograph, if they are not owned by the photographer, why not? --Orange Mike | Talk 00:25, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Atloius You may find Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission and Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials useful. The first has a section explaining what to do when permission is confirmed. Article not accepted due to "references do not adequately show the subject's notability."

Hello - my page has been denied because the "references do not adequately show the subject's notability." I have contacted the award provider and they do not keep an online record of winners as far back as 2011 & 2012. We do however have the physical awards that I'd be happy to submit an image of if that would help verify? Also a contact at the organisation (B&T) would be happy to clarify this in writing. Hi Sammus09. Awards are common in the business world. Winning them does not establish that a company is notable. If reliable sources independent of the company and of the awarding entity covered the company in-depth in connection with winning the award, then that coverage would make the company notable (such coverage need not be online). So photographing the awards will not help. In my experience, no matter how coveted a business award may be by the recipient, mentioning it in an encyclopedia article comes across to the wider world as embarrassingly desperate promotionalism. --Worldbruce (talk) 13:58, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Houndleywoof. You seem to be getting the hang of inline citations, they are much improved from when the draft was declined. The page ranges cited are mighty large for the content they support. Is a fair summary of pages 15-182 really only that his name is "Ray Foulk"? Did it really take the author Norman 11 pages to say the equivalent of "Foulk founded the Isle of Wight Festivals of Music in 1968 with his brothers Ronnie and Bill"? Page ranges in citations are normally a page or two. If an author has written 167 pages about Ray Foulk, one would expect a little more substance in the draft article. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:21, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This page Amy Adler was made back in September 2014 and was all approved and now recently it has been edited badly and lots of info removed. I got the following message in my sandbox: Amy Adler "This is a redirect from a page that has been moved (renamed). This page was kept as a redirect to avoid breaking links, both internal and external, that may have been made to the old page name. For more information follow the bold category link."

Then on the actual page I have this message: 

	"This article is an autobiography or has been extensively edited by the subject or by someone connected to the subject. It may need editing to conform to Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy. There may be relevant discussion on the talk page. (July 2015) (Learn how and when to remove this template message)"

Hours and hours of editing went into this page and has all been removed??? That is so unbelievably frustrating!!! Please advise!!! thanks Amyadler88 (talk) 19:39, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The autobiography tag had always been on it. You removed it. I have restored it, because it still is your autobiography. If you disagree with the removal of content, discuss on the talk page; it was probably removed as non-neutral. Robert McClenon (talk) 13:06, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Can you help me understand the notability concern with this subject? In comparison with published Wikipedia articles about related technologies (e.g., OpenWebGlobe, Marble (software), MapJack, CitySurf Globe, Bing Maps), this article seems to have more sources, including chapters in reputably published books, presentations from top conferences in the field, and news articles from a variety of sources.

This topic is also referenced on a number of other published Wikipedia pages (Virtual globe, OpenLayers, List of WebGL frameworks, Bhuvan, YoubeQ, GPlates, Analytical Graphics, List of geographic information systems software), some of which are about applications that use Cesium as their core technology. I plan to add incoming links from these articles to the Cesium article once it's accepted.

I'm not sure what steps to take next in improving the article. Thanks in advance for your help!
