Ill Smith - Hi, not sure what your query is, as you don't seem to have a draft up for review. If you're wanting your userpage to be a draft, you need to submit it but there will be issues. First, it's really not a good idea to try to write an autobiographical article, as you'll struggle to be objective. Second, you've got no sources. Sources are key to Wikipedia. 14:10:12, 19 April 2018 review of submission by SnowbirdTS[edit]

Hello I have not been able to insert images or photos into the draft Wikipedia page I have created in my sandbox, Tim Curnow Literary agent, because it says I need to have a confirmed account and do at least ten edits. SnowbirdTS - Hi Terry. I'm afraid I don't know why you can't upload images to your user page, but another reviewer probably will and they'll get back to you. But I would make a couple of observations on the draft you've put up for review. First, you clearly have a conflict of interest. Your Userpage says "Going to make Tim a page", and your UserTalk reads, "Looking for a link to Tim". So you need to declare this and follow the guidance on editing with a conflict. Secondly, the content/tone of the article is very promotional/personal. Wikipedia articles give neutral overviews of what reliable, independent sources say about a subject. Your draft contains many examples of subjective commentary which aren't appropriate for a neutral survey. Lastly, your sourcing, although extensive, isn't properly formatted. Thank you, User:KJP1, for confirming that I am not the only experienced editor who sees a conflict of interest. I have declined the submission. By the way, I do not count ten edits. I count six. That means that the editor is not yet autoconfirmed and does not have certain privileges. That doesn't change the issue about tone and conflict of interest. Please help me make this page good enough to go live. The reviewer is saying something about format and looking at other pages. I have looked at other pages and copied their format. No format issues were mentioned when the article was rejected the first time. The reviewer also said to cite full works - which I have. I'm not sure what the issue is and I need a full break down of what needs to be fixed exactly. Please don't send me wiki pages to look on to fix my article - I need a detailed analysis. Kmehta9 - Hi, there are at least two big issues, and maybe some minor ones. First, you clearly have a Conflict of interest. You have said, "we are using this documentary to help a student get into college here", "we are trying to gain recognition as the documentary itself is a personal statement to college for the boy starring in it" and "I added my poster image back in - please stop deleting it. The rights were e-mailed to you already". You are, in fact, the copyright owner of the image. So, you clearly have an interest in the film and this needs to be properly and clearly declared. The second issue is that you don't have any properly formatted sources. You've had quite a lot of advice on this already but you're not reading the advice and following it. Thirdly, in my view, it's too soon as the film's not even been released. Other reviewers may take a different view. But you certainly need to take all the embedded external links in the Reception section and turn them into references. Hope this helps. KJP1 (talk) 14:44, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I respectfully request a re-review of an article I volunteered to write for an organization in my town called Modernism Week. This charitable organization is in its 14th year and I noticed it didn't have an article on Wikipedia so volunteered to submit one. My first effort was rejected stating that it sounded like an advertisement. I have since honed and worked to reduce the text to the bare facts about this organization, the event they hold each year to raise funds for scholarships, and their history. I cited many newspapers to validate the article's claims. The organization has seen huge growth over the past few years so its difficult to find articles that don't celebrate an unusually successful nonprofit. I left that tone out of the article but stated the fact that attendance growth has been significant and worth noting as a fact. I made a newbie error when I opened an account to write this article for the organization and made up the username, MWeek. I realized immediately that the name was problematic, understood the policy because of the appearance of a conflict, and changed my name. I hope that rookie mistake isn't clouding the submission. I am a volunteer, do not work for Modernism Week, am not being paid by anyone to write the article, and have an entirely different full time job in the same town as Modernism Week.

I am happy to improve the article further if requested. I have compared it with other similar organizations pages and feel it mirrors the high standards of Wikipedia but will be advised on where exactly I can improve it.

By way of an alternative view, and with no disrespect, I think I would have accepted this. The copyvio is a bit of an issue, although at 16% I think it can be addressed. The topic is Notable, it's well-sourced and well-structured. I'm not seeing it as overly promotional, although I have a weakness for architecture articles so could well be biased! Thank you for your input. So does this then meet the standard? Is there more I should do? By copyvio I assume you mean the photos. I asked the CEO of Modernism Week to grant me permission to use photos from their trove. He granted it. I attached his email to wiki correspondence about the issue. They asked he email them directly. He did that. So, I assumed all was ok there. Please let me know, as a newbie, what else I can do to shepherd. The only remaining thing I can see that might seem like promotion, is stating the size and reach of the org. The growth of this event has been remarkable so I did state that as a fact careful to have no celebratory tone - just the fact. I could cut the growth part out but I think it's relevant to show that it is an encyclopedic-worthy fact of scale and impact that it isn't a small village event.
